JNU sedition row: Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid raised anti-India slogans, says 1,200-page charge sheet
The Delhi Police on Monday filed a chargesheet against former JNU Students Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar, former student activists Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, and seven others in a sedition case. In February 2016, a few students were found raising “anti-national slogans” against the hanging of Parliament-attack mastermind Afzal Guru. Police have indicted them for various offences including sedition, criminal conspiracy, and unlawful assembly.
