An interesting case of theft is doing rounds on the Internet which might even inspire Rohit Shetty for his next film.
21-year-old Kushal Singh tried running away to his hometown Ajmer in a train after stealing gold jewellery from his employer’s house in Bengaluru on Diwali night.
But the cops being cops, outplayed him by taking a flight. They landed way before Kushal at Ajmer and welcomed him at the city railway station. Of course, the thief had not seen this coming.
According to Times of India, Singh committed the theft on the very first day of his employment at businessman Mehak V Piragal’s house. Singh was recommended by a family friend and started working on the day of Diwali.
Reportedly, Singh was asked to guard the house as the Piragal family left for puja at their shop in Chickpet. The family returned at around 9 pm to see that their house has been looted. Gold jewellery from a cupboard was missing and so was Kushal, the report said.
The family immediately informed the police and a quick investigation disclosed that Singh had taken a train to Ajmer.
The cops then flew to Ajmer and landed way before him to nab him from the railway station. Kushal got caught even before he could sell the gold jewellery which he had stolen.
A police officer told the publication, “This was Kushal’s first visit to Bengaluru and he doesn’t have any criminal record. He wanted to make a quick buck and lead a happy life, but chose the wrong path.”
