Kenzo x H&M collection is out today – fans get excited for the fashion brand’s latest designer collaboration
It’s that time of year again when H&M launch their big designer collaboration and unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of months, you’ll know it’s with French fashion house Kenzo.
In the build-up to last month’s sneak-peek and fashion show, the brand released a short behind-the-scenes of the campaign shot by iconic fashion photographer Jean-Paul Goude, starring seven diverse celebrities and figureheads, including Iman, Chloe Sevigny and Chance The Rapper.
But just like their last collection with Balmain, fans queued outside stores in the cold, some since late last night to be the first to get their hands on the sought-after range.
Doors opened at 9am but customers wanting to avoid the wait tried to shop online, only to be met with an error message on H&M’s website: “The Kenzo x H&M collection is launching and you might experience a fashionable waiting time. However, we will do our best to serve you as soon as possible.”
Customers took to Twitter to air their frustration, with @KatieLAlley comparing the online refresh to Glastonbury.
Items are also already appearing on eBay at DOUBLE the price.
In London, customers who had been waiting patiently in the cold, emerged triumphant from the Regent Street store with brightly coloured shopping bags containing their purchases.
