Jordanian Fashion show inspired by Italian designers

Jordanian designers have launched the first womenswear collection of the new Fashion Brand JO! In collaboration with Italian designers as part of an EU funded project Creative Jordan-resilience through creativity.

The project also known as- Resilience through Creativity’; Creative Jordan is also funded by the Italian Development Cooperation and implemented by the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development (UNIDO). The aim of ‘Creative Jordan’ is to improve and foster the design and manufacturing process in the garment industry in order to facilitate the access to local and international markets, said the Italian embassy. “It represents an important step for the Jordanian garment industry: a new team of local designers and local manufacturing factories have been working together, for the first time, to develop a womenswear collection with international standards,” a statement reads.

JO! Collection and ‘Creative Jordan’ projects are developed in collaboration with the Garment Design & Training Services Center (GSC) in Amman. The ‘Creative Jordan’ team is comprised of Zein H Mango (Fashion Designer), Aida Ghanem (Embroidery Designer), Dina Maqdah (Fashion Designer), Tallaat Haddad (Industrial Designer), Ibrahim Al Badareen (Product Developer).

The project was managed by GSC CEO Eng. Ameed Abdel Qader and coordinated by Ms Dina Seisah. The collection has been developed under the Creative Direction of Caterina Filice, Italian Fashion Designer, UNIDO Expert. (ANSAmed).
