Swedish fashion giant H&M is all geared up to open its first store in the city of Bangalore on March 25, 2016, a leading Indian daily ET reports. The opening marks the expanding foothold of the retailer in the Indian market where it wishes to open more stores soon.
Janne Einola, Country Manager for H&M Retail, India said, “We are very proud to open our first store in VR Bengaluru and bring to our customers what H&M is known for – fashion and quality at the best price and that to in a sustainable way – world over. At H&M we always have something for everyone, and we can’t wait to welcome all Bengaluru shoppers to this fantastic store.” With this store, the retailer is set to give tough competition to other fast-growing fashion labels like Zara and GAP in the Indian market.

Spread across 30,000 square feet, the Bangalore store will offer a wide range of the latest men’s, women’s and kids’ wear assortments. H&M, which currently operates close to 4,000 stores across the globe, is aiming at opening around 50 retail stores in the country.
The company looks very active at the moment in increasing its presence world over as it is continuously opening stores across countries like USA, India, etc.
