District Health Society, Zunheboto organised a healthy life style camp under the National Programme for Prevention & Control and Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke (NPCDCS) at Aghunato CHC, Zunheboto on May 20.
A press note by district media officer, CMO Zunheboto, Shekho Sophie stated that deputy CMO Zunheboto, Dr. Hoito highlighted on diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and cancer. He explained about the types, the symptoms, complications, the risk factor and its treatment and for prevention and early diagnosis. He said that theHealthy lifestyle camp was one of the outreach programme under the NPCDCS.
FGD, counselling and one to one sessions were carried out by IEC personnel. Pamphlets and leaflets were distributed free. The camp administered 330 patients. 93 people were counselled for prevention of NCD.
The team of medical personnel was led by Dr. Hoito, Dy.CMO, Zunheboto, Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP), Dr. Puloto, MO i/c Aghunato CHC, Dr. Zulutenla, MO, VK PHC, Dr. Kanato, MO i/c Saptiqa PHC, Dr. Shevosa, Surgeon, DH, Dr. Pongwang, MO, Aghunato CHC, Dr. Ayim, Dental, Aghunato CHC, Dr. Visheto, MO, Aghunato CHC, Dr. Zhekheli, Epideomologist (IDSP) and supporting nurses, Lab. Tech, Ophthalmic Assistant. The district team comprised of DPM, DAM, DCM, BPM, DEO-UIP, ASHA co- ordinator, Lab tech and nurse (MMU) and RBSK team.
